4 Days Mountain Gorilla Trekking In Rwanda Tour

4 Days Mountain Gorilla Trekking In Rwanda Tour

Volcanoes National Park Safari

The four-day trip begins in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, and concludes there as well. Mountain gorilla tracking will take place in Volcanoes National Park, which is home to few of the mountain gorillas left in the world. With this safari, you get the chance to search for golden monkeys and mountain gorillas in the same park.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali city tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Have breakfast early at the Kigali hotel where your driver will pick you up and give you the details of the 2-day safari for gorilla trekking in Rwanda. He will then take you on a tour of the city, during which you will have the opportunity to see the Genocide Memorial Site, which contains information and memories of the 1994 Genocide, as well as some local markets. After lunch, you will then be transferred to the Volcanoes National Park, which is located about 80 kilometers from Kigali
If you still have time after arriving in the park, stop at the Iby’iwacu village. As you get ready for the next day’s gorilla trekking, eat dinner and stay the night.
Accommodation options: the Le Bamboo Lodge, the 5 Volcanoes Lodge, and the Muhabura Hotel.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Volcanoes

Eat a substantial meal early in the morning, and then your driving guide will transport you to the park’s headquarters for beefing. Start your exciting journey of tracking gorillas later. The trek takes 1 to 6 hours, and trekkers are allowed to spend 1 hour with the gorillas. It is incredibly enjoyable to watch them play, protect one another, and feed, among other things. Hikers will be able to see additional wildlife while trekking, such as golden monkeys, elephants, and birds.
After the hike, you’ll be led back to the lodge where you can have lunch, choose to visit Burera and Ruhondo Twin Lakes, go for a stroll through the neighborhood, watch the residents perform traditional dances, or simply unwind.
Accommodation options: the Le Bamboo Lodge, the 5 Volcanoes Lodge, and the Muhabura Hotel.

Day 3: Golden monkey tracking and Dian Fossey tomb

Have breakfast early enough, then follow the park ranger’s guidance to find the golden monkeys. These creatures are fascinating to watch as they play, move around trees, and eat.
Another option is to visit the grave of Dian Fossey, where you may learn a lot about the primate expert who previously cared for mountain gorillas (please note that optional activities are not included in the final costing). After lunch, head back to the lodge before spending the afternoon visiting a neighborhood school and meeting some of the students there.
Accommodation options: the Le Bamboo Lodge, the 5 Volcanoes Lodge, and the Muhabura Hotel.

Day 4: Departure

In order to check out of the lodge, get up early and eat breakfast. Afterwards, enjoy your meal before going to the airport to fly home.
