Day 1: Pick up and travel to Nyungwe Forest

Early morning, we will send our company representative to pick you up from the airport or your hotel. The driver will take you on a 2-hour tour of Kigali following the initial briefing. You will go to the Genocide Memorial Centre, the former president of Rwanda’s palace, the central market, and the artisan stores. You will begin the arduous journey to Nyungwe forest after the city tour. The park lies in the southwest of Rwanda, and travelling there by car takes around five hours. You will make stops at the former king of Rwanda’s palace and other significant locations. Lunch will be consumed en route at a situation motel or restaurant.
Dinner and overnight accommodations will be in the Gisakura Guest House (budget), Nyungwe Forest Lodge (luxury), and Nyungwe Top View Hotel (midrange).

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and canopy walk

You’ll get up early and have breakfast at your hotel before heading to the Nyungwe Forest offices for the chimpanzee tracking briefing. You only need to follow the Guides far into the forest because they know where to find the chimpanzees. Once you’ve located the chimpanzee, make sure you get enough pictures and spend some time observing the animals’ behavior.
After your chimpanzee tracking expedition, return to your accommodation for lunch and get ready to go on the Canopy walk. It enables you to view the park from above and observe more monkeys and birds from a fresh perspective.
Accommodation options, Gisakura Guest House (budget), Nyungwe Forest Lodge (luxury), and Nyungwe Top View Hotel (midrange).

Wake up whenever you want, eat breakfast, and leave. The driver will arrive and pick you up to begin the trip to the national park of the volcanoes. As you travel, you will see lovely landscapes like Lake Kivu. As many pictures as you can of the lake. Beautiful plantations, rolling hills, and hospitable natives may be found across Rwanda. Lunch will be consumed on route. As soon as you get at the park, check in and take a nap before leaving to explore the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. You can take a boat and tour the islands or view birds if you have the time.
Dinner and lodging at The Garden Place Hotel (budget), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (mid-range), and Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (luxury).

Day 4: Gorilla tracking in Volcanoes and cultural tour

Eat a substantial meal early in the morning, and then your driving guide will transport you to the park’s headquarters for beefing. Start your exciting journey of tracking gorillas later. The trek takes 1 to 6 hours, and trekkers are allowed to spend 1 hour with the gorillas. It is incredibly enjoyable to watch them play, protect one another, and feed, among other things. Hikers will be able to see additional wildlife while trekking, such as golden monkeys, elephants, and birds.
You will be taken to the Iby’iwacu cultural village, which is close to the volcanoes national park, after some relaxation. You will be delighted with cultural dances and get the opportunity to learn more about the native Kinyarwanda culture while at the hamlet. Expect to participate in the performances and have the opportunity to purchase mementos.
Dinner and lodging at The Garden Place Hotel (budget), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (mid-range), and Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (luxury).

Day 5: Golden Monkey Tracking and transfer back to Kigali

Get up early, eat breakfast, and then travel to the Volcanoes National Park offices for a briefing on tracking golden monkeys. Following the briefing, the park guide will take you into the forest, where you’ll finally be able to see the monkeys perched on treetops and foraging on the ground. A rare and threatened species of primates is the golden monkey. They pose for as many shots as they can while looking adorable.
After the golden monkey tracking, our guide will take you back to the hotel for lunch and check out. You will then start your journey back to Kigali airport for your flight home or, if you are staying in Kigali, to your hotel.
